Homemade teriyaki sauce for marinades and glazes.

3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoon mirin
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 clove garlic
2 teaspoon fresh ginger
Pinch of salt

Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and set over medium heat. Whisk everything together.

Once the mix reaches a simmer, drop heat to low and allow mix to reduce for about 10 minutes.
